Terms & Conditions

Terms and Conditions of Entry

By submitting an entry to the Creative Retail Awards (the “Awards”), the entrant agrees to be bound by these Terms and Conditions. Entry to the Awards constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.

Eligibility and entry period

  1. Entries must relate to projects, products or work installed, completed or delivered between 1 January 2025 and 31st January 2026 (inclusive).
  2. Entrants must be the originator of the entry, or must have obtained the express written permission of the originator and any third parties featured in the entry (including, but not limited to, clients, brands, photographers and collaborators) prior to submission.
  3. All information provided in an entry must be true, accurate and not misleading. The Creative Retail Awards reserves the right to disqualify any entry found to contain inaccurate, incomplete or misleading information, at any stage of the process and without refund of fees.
  4. The Creative Retail Awards reserves the right to move an entry into an alternative category if, in the opinion of the organisers or judges, it is more appropriate to do so. The entrant will be notified of any such reallocation.

Submission, fees and refunds

  1. Entry fees, where applicable, must be paid in full at the point of submission. An entry will not be considered complete or valid until payment has been received.
  2. All entry fees are non-refundable. By submitting an entry, the entrant acknowledges and agrees that any and all fees paid in relation to that entry will not be refunded under any circumstances, including (without limitation) withdrawal of the entry, disqualification, reallocation to another category, or non-shortlisting.
  3. No responsibility is accepted by the Creative Retail Awards for entries that are lost, delayed, misdirected, incomplete or that cannot be entered for any technical or other reason. Proof of submission is not proof of receipt by the Creative Retail Awards.
  4. The Creative Retail Awards cannot give an Award to any business, charity or individual that cannot be contacted using the details provided after the entry has been submitted. The Creative Retail Awards is not responsible for any errors made by the entrant when submitting contact details, and entrants are advised to check all contact information carefully before submission.

Judging and shortlist

  1. A shortlist of finalists will be selected from the entries received by the closing date, by a panel of independent expert judges appointed by the Creative Retail Awards.
  2. The panel of judges will be announced on the Creative Retail Awards website. The Creative Retail Awards reserves the right to change the composition of the panel in the event of circumstances outside its reasonable control.
  3. The decisions of the judges and the organisers in all matters relating to the Awards are final and binding. There is no right of appeal and no correspondence will be entered into.
  4. Shortlisted finalists will be notified by email or telephone using the contact details provided at the point of entry.

Shortlist attendance requirement

  1. By submitting an entry, the entrant acknowledges and agrees that, if shortlisted, the entrant (or the organisation entered) will purchase a minimum of four (4) tickets to attend the Creative Retail Awards Ceremony. Tickets must be purchased at the prevailing rate and payment received in full no later than 30 days before the date of the ceremony.
  2. Where an entrant or organisation is shortlisted in more than one category, the minimum requirement of four (4) tickets applies to the entrant or organisation as a whole, and not per shortlisted entry, unless otherwise agreed in writing with the organisers.
  3. Entrants who are confirmed sponsors of the Creative Retail Awards, and whose sponsorship package includes a ticket or table allocation equal to or exceeding four tickets, shall be deemed to have satisfied this requirement.
  4. Failure to purchase the minimum four tickets by the stipulated deadline may, at the sole discretion of the organisers, result in the entry being withdrawn from the shortlist and any associated category, with no refund of entry fees. The Creative Retail Awards reserves the right to reallocate the shortlist position to another entrant.
  5. Entrants will be required to confirm acknowledgement of this requirement at the point of entry.

Tickets and ceremony

  1. All tickets purchased for the Creative Retail Awards Ceremony, and any associated events, are strictly non-refundable and non-transferable, regardless of the circumstances of cancellation, including (without limitation) inability to attend, change of personnel, or withdrawal of an entry from the shortlist.
  2. The Creative Retail Awards reserves the right to refuse admission to the ceremony, or to remove any attendee from the venue, where the attendee’s conduct is deemed by the organisers to be inappropriate, disruptive or otherwise contrary to the interests of the event or its other attendees.

Promotion and use of entry content

  1. By submitting an entry, the entrant grants the Creative Retail Awards and its partners a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use the entry (including text, images, video and project details) for the purposes of promoting the Awards before, during and after the event. This may include, without limitation, use on websites, in press releases, in print, on social media and at industry events.
  2. By submitting an entry, the entrant warrants and confirms that:

    (a) the entrant has obtained full permission from all companies, brands and other parties featured in the entry for the Creative Retail Awards to publish details of the project before, during and after the event; and

    (b) the entrant has obtained full permission from the photographer (and any other rights holder) and from all companies and brands featured for the Creative Retail Awards to publish all images supplied, free of charge and without image credit unless specifically stipulated in writing at the point of submission.
  3. All Award winners will be required to take part in reasonable promotional activity in connection with the Awards. Entrants who do not wish specific content to be used for promotional purposes must notify the Creative Retail Awards in writing at the point of entry, identifying the specific content concerned. The Creative Retail Awards will use reasonable endeavours to comply with such requests where practicable.

Conflicts of interest

  1. Judges are required to declare any conflict of interest in relation to any entry and will be excluded from judging entries in which a conflict has been declared. The decision of the organisers as to whether a conflict of interest exists is final.

Modification or discontinuance

  1. The Creative Retail Awards reserves the right at any time to modify, suspend or discontinue, temporarily or permanently, any or all categories within the Awards, the format of the ceremony, or any other aspect of the Awards, with or without prior notice. The decision of the organisers in all matters under their control is final and binding.

Data protection

  1. The Creative Retail Awards will process personal data provided in connection with an entry in accordance with applicable UK data protection legislation, including the UK General Data Protection Regulation and the Data Protection Act 2018. Personal data will be used for the purposes of administering the Awards, communicating with entrants, and (where consent has been given) marketing related events. Further information is available in the Creative Retail Awards privacy notice.

Force majeure

  1. The Creative Retail Awards shall not be liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations where such failure or delay is caused by circumstances outside its reasonable control. Such circumstances shall include, but shall not be limited to, adverse weather conditions, fire, flood, hurricane, strike, industrial dispute, war, hostilities, political unrest, riots, civil commotion, accidents, supervening legislation, public health emergencies, pandemics, or any other circumstance amounting to force majeure.

Governing law and jurisdiction

  1. These Terms and Conditions, and any dispute or claim arising out of or in connection with them or their subject matter (including non-contractual disputes or claims), shall be governed by, and construed in accordance with, the laws of England and Wales. The parties irrevocably submit to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.

Acceptance

  1. Entry into the Creative Retail Awards constitutes acceptance of these Terms and Conditions in full.
