The project

A New York steakhouse in leather

Part of Coach's growing hospitality programme, the restaurant at Jewel Changi Airport takes the classic American steakhouse as its starting point and interprets it through New York and the Coach brand. It overlooks Jewel's Rain Vortex, and a curved ceiling, rich archival tones and contrasting materials set an atmosphere that is refined but approachable, with a chef's counter and bar offering more intimate places to sit.

Coach's leather heritage is carried into the details through glovetanned leather placemats, menu covers, napkin cuffs and aprons. Bronze mirror walls and terrazzo floors are paired with warm wood, while suspended New York iconography and leather seating nooks add moments of discovery around the room.

At its centre, an open woodfire kitchen puts the cooking on show. The menu pairs USDA Prime cuts and Japanese Wagyu with playful New York-inspired touches. The restaurant connects directly to the adjacent Coach store, bringing dining and shopping under one roof, and the entry positions it as a place to gather for younger customers, particularly Gen Z, looking for immersive experiences.
